Grace and I would like to thank everyone for your support for the last eight years. It has been a privilege for us to serve you at Pagoda. We have enjoyed meeting of old friends and new alike. We will be passing the torch to the younger generation which will have more energy than us.
The greatest gift in our life was when my mom Lon Fong got lost and found lockport back in 1978, and then Pagoda House was established. Today, it’s the oldest family-owned Chinese restaurant in Will county. We have been blessed with 40+ years of doing what we love. We both have worn many hats and we’re looking forward to retirement. Thank you again for the great support, and we hope that you will continue to support Pagoda House under the new owner, Chunmei Tan, for another 3 generations of customers.
With Gratitude,
Wah & Grace Yee
Posted on Google Xaivier Allen Good food kind people. I ordered to go and the food was goodPosted on Google lori taylor Hands down, the best of the best… Pagoda House is the one of the last remaining Family Owned restaurants from the Original “OG’s” stemming back to the 70’s… True the the authentic heritage of the cuisine, an Icon on 9th Street… Come let Wah cook for you, be greeted like you’re family by his impeccable staff.. I guarantee you’ll not be disappointed!Posted on Google Elizabeth O'Laughlin Pagoda remains a cherished local favorite, and for good reason. They consistently serve delicious, authentic Chinese food at prices that are hard to beat. I'm a huge fan of their combination dinner meals, like the "dinner for 2," which offer incredible value. The portions are always generous, ensuring you get more than your money's worth and likely have some tasty leftovers for later. What truly sets Pagoda apart, however, is their exceptional customer service. The staff is consistently kind, considerate, and wonderfully accommodating. On my last visit, they were happy to swap the wonton soup that came with my meal for my preferred egg drop soup without any hesitation. It’s this type of flexibility and genuine care that makes dining here such a pleasure. Even their hot tea is fantastic and comes at a wonderful price. I was so worried when I heard rumors that they might be closing down a while back. I am incredibly relieved and happy to see them still open and seemingly doing well. Pagoda is more than just a restaurant; it’s a community staple that offers comforting food and heartwarming service. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will continue to be a loyal customer.Posted on Google Joe Glogowski Not being from the area we were a little skeptical at first because the outside is kind of unassuming, however, we found the food to be very good! I especially enjoyed the egg rolls, they had an amazing flavor and were cooked just right! The server was a friendly older gentleman and was perfectly attentive during our visit and had such a warm smile and good conversation. My local Chinese restaurant in Bradley Illinois closed awhile back and I have missed it very much, Pagoda was just what I needed today! The egg foo young with the jumbo shrimp was also very good! update: Daughter had a softball tournament in the area and we knew Pagoda was a must stop while we were in the area. Still excellent service and delicious food!Posted on Google Mikayla Daciolas Orange chicken was really great and the egg rolls tooPosted on Google Krystyn Had a wonderful lunch!
